Not really, look at what this forum and forums alike did for pro audio on bikes.
3 years ago it was unheard of.
MMats was dead in the water a few years ago with old tech. Now they are selling tons of cheap Chinese speakers to
the HD community.
Just google search TX48. The first few hits are us.
Its smaller than you think.
I'm not sure I'd call them cheap...as in quality and sound......
But the point is....mmats pa601cx and that series are great speakers! AND with all the buzz here and huge uptick in sales, they're still priced at a very good and fair price point. Unlike this amp which jumped up over 100 bucks in a day. Wouldnt be surprised if that just killed their sales completely, unless as TW says, there are still deals to be found on it elsewhere.
Anyone have one of these installed yet? How's the sound quality, is it FM friendly, does it fit in a 05 Ultra, how does it bench test on wattage, etc?
It's going to have to be a pretty solid amp to compete in the over $300 range.
I was kicking tires at the under $300 range, but at the $400 range, I'll stick with the Stinger and my NVX for now. Probably direct my spare cash towards something my system needs more than another amp upgrade, like a DSP.
Not as many are sold as you think. They went back to heir original price as of 2-3 weeks ago. They were selling them cheaper than their distributors could get them for and distributors spend a lot of time and effort marketing the products. It's the only way shops can afford to stay in business, just like auto repair shops, small engine, appliance repair companies sell parts at or near list, just so they can turn a small profit and afford the tools and equipment they need to do their jobs.
