So doing some research on amps, in particular the Arc Audio Moto 600.4. In talking to Arc tech, I asked if there was some special resistors in there wire harnesses to flatten eq curve. He said there was not in any of their harnesses including the 2014 and up harness kit. He further stated that "if you do not" buy a dsp, that a flash or some other leveler was needed to make system sound right.
I have seen some posts on some forums stating no flash or anything else needed for the mpak 12, Arc tech said that information was "false".
So does anyone on this forum know for sure if a Harley dealer can flash my stock HU now, (with no amp yet installed) to eliminate the crazy eq curve and keep me away from buying a line leveler or DSP?
I have ang dealer who just sold me a $29,000, 2019 Road Glide so now would be the time to get it done at my 1000 mile service.
I will be running a single amp and 2 speakers in fairing. Nothing else and no plans for anything else.
There are no HD dealers that can flash your HU for use without a LL or a DSP. The only thing they can give you other than what you have is a flash for an Ultra which gives you fade capabilities.
I like the flash idea best Carizma. I just don't want to have more equipment stuffed in my fairing. Seems cleaner with flash. We have a fosgate dealer in town. Do you know what flash I would have them do for a 1 amp 2 speaker system? I'm sure my stock setup will sound even worse after flash but once I get new system in it will rock.
I'm thinking of Going with the arc moto 600.4. Its about $500 but I need solid radio reception and I heard that amp keeps reception in tact. I also like to JL amp but I am seeing it does not fit well in road glide fairing. For speakers arc also has those new HD 6.5 coax that look pretty good. Again I would not have to mod my pods with them.
Arc has the wiring kit as well. Basically I would be at mpak 12 except with HD speakers.
Any other suggestions for a fairly east system to install and good SQ with good reception would be appreciated.

FYI, the less equipment / cleaner install really is a moot point cause if ur gonna run low level input, which is recommended, ur gonna need either a BT LL or a LOC so it's gonna be the same exact footprint regarding install equipment.
For half the price, that stinger amp will still get you the fm reception and leave room to grow should you ever decide to add another pair of speakers.
Thanks teedoff. Still trying to decide. I heard something about the stinger being hard to connect speakers to or something like that. Have you hooked one up?

I have one in mine. My issues were related to the hacks that hacked up my stock wiring connectors. Other than that, no issues with speaker connections. The heavier gauge power and ground wires need some wire ferules on the ends, which I'm taking care of this weekend. The stranded wire can pull out sometimes. Not sure thats a specific issue to this amp only though.
