Default Fairing speakers ?

I have a 2010 Ultra with a kenwood head unit, soundstream 1000 watt amp, biketronic 7.1 in fairing, 4 polk 6.5 in lower fairing & tour pack and polk 6x9 in lids. I'm not happy with the 7.1s in the fairing, too bright, little to no bass. What would be good replacement with some bass

The amp is a Soundstream ST4.1000D. The fairing speakers wired in parallel on 1 channel, lowers in parallel on another channel, tourpacks in parallel on another channel and the saddlebags i parallel an another channel.

That amp is part of your problem. It doesn't do anywhere near rated power. I'd even consider replacing it and adding another micro amp to push the 6x9's along with replacing the 7.1's. My first move would be a new amp.

So basically your fairing and tourpak speakers plays left channel, lowers and bags play right channel?

And yes, your amp is 300w max

At absolute best your sending each speaker 60 watts. You need double that.

most folks on here are going to suggest the mmats pa601cx and the infinity kaapa for the fairing. Lots of people are running the stinger 700x4 amp as well.

With eight speakers in play I would be tempted to try two Stinger amps if they would fit. Since he has an aftermarket head unit and no CB module that should free up some space.

He might just find his speakers sound better with the increased quality wattage being fed to them.
