American Hard Bag offers a 5x7 to 6x9 adapter and so does V Twin Audio. I believe you have to do some cutting to install either. They should allow you to install the MMats, if you want the 7x10s they come with an adapter to fit the 6x9 mount. Not sure how mounting an adapter to an adapter would work out...

I removed the mounts from the lids and had to cut 2 of the corners significantly and the other 2 much less, if memory serves. Thread I started GZs and a Rainy Sunday Afternoon has some picks to give you an idea. No issue with the lid tethers.
