Hello all. I haven't been in the audio section for a good while. Long story short, I was hit by a car and my throttle side lower got crushed, smashing my Biketronics Titan II speaker. I'm in the market for new 6.5's for my replacement Amazon lowers. In the past I've used both Polk MM series and Infinity Kappas, but I think they discontinued the particular Kappas I had. What's the go to 6.5 coaxial speakers these days? I'm running a Soundstream PN4-1000 with a Sony MEX head unit. Biketronics 7.1's in the fairing and Pioneer TS 6901's in the lids. Looking for some experienced opinions, thanks.
John, sorry to hear about the accident, I hope you are well.
As far as 6.5 speakers go, nowadays the go to, so to say, are the MMats PA601CX and PA601 depending on what you are matching them to.
Best of Luck and I hope all works out well for you.

As said previously, the MMats are the go to bang for the buck plug and play speaker of the moment and they should drop right into those lowers with little to no modifications. I would be interested to know how you plan to wire them to the amp though. I would not wire them in parallel with the 7.1s. If you get a second set (all 4 ohm) to replace the 7.1s and run the 4 front MMats in parallel giving a 2 ohm load then that would probably work out pretty well for you.

Very damn sorry!! Glad ur ok!!
Mike, have u run the PA601 and if so what did ur ears like about it? Aka freq range, etc. Thx!!!
Reason I ask is I love the 601CX but hate the 601. Could not get those bitches off the sled fast enough. Crossed at 150 they are ok but not great.
We all have different ears and setup thus curious what u found to be the wheelhouse if the 601.

Todd, I still have the HAT's in the Fairing and Lids and still liking them.
I was toying with the idea of changing those out to the MMats but don't know if the CX with the Beyma SQL60's will be a problem that's why I was considering the 601.
If I do change I will definitely report back to how well they play for me.

Right on brother!!! Thx!!
The GZ yellows might be an awesome match w the SQLs. My favorite w the SQL has been the Beyma 6P200 or the 6Q200. But damn are there tons of awesome options these days!!!

You could just get the 601cx and unhook the tweeter on them. Gives you more options.
