Default DSR1 Setup?

I have my DSR installed, but the firmware is v1.2.0.0. I downloaded the iDatalink desktop client, but cannot get it to recognize my DSP. Anyone else run into this?

After some serious screwing around, I finally got the thing to update. It's still dropping Bluetooth constantly. Basically rendering this thing completely useless. I've got a ticket in with Rockford. Has anyone else experienced this?

A friend just got rid of his for the same reason, he actually bought a IPhone, because he was told the dsr 1 worked better with the Iphone. Unfortunaltely same issue, he sold it and bought a Arc Psm, problem solved.

My DSR1 was a little troublesome with BT connection as well. What I found to work best is to shut the app down after I was done. That seemed to make connection the next time I launched the app pretty reliable.

For anyone that has issues with the connection, the firmware & software is absolutely key. I remembered doing an iDatalink install as part of a security and BCM interface for a remote start system years ago and having basically the same challenges (minus Bluetooth). iDatalink will either make the device work, or completely cripple it.

I wound up updating the firmware, the Bluetooth "driver"(?), and then having to flash the universal settings from Maestro. Everything works pretty good now. There doesn't seem to be much of a difference in connection / performance between an iPhone or an Android phone. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the results.

I also used the setup file from AHB, but wound up taking the low and high frequencies down a couple of dB. And, I'm not exactly sure how the Punch EQ functions. I assumed it was like loudness on some aftermarket head units, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Next up, I'd like to see if I can find some 6.5's that have a little more tolerance for the lower frequencies. Realistically, probably just need to go hear some other setups...
