Default DSP/Flash question advice

I had the bike flashed for the “stock ultra 4 speaker 0 amp”, suggested by many.

Biketronics 4250 amp, BT line levelers, 7.1 BT speakers in fairing and the Hertz SV 165 in the lowers. This is the current audio system.

I would like like to add a Dsp for more control and add some midbass.

New system is looking like
JL TWK 88 DSP replacing BT line levelers.
Can leave the flash or do I need to change it?

Is there a better flash to play with the DSP?

Will the HU play audio without the LL or a stock speaker?

I read something that stated if there was no resistance the H-D stock HU will not produce any audio?

Here is my plan, please feel free to chime in an opinions.

Keep BT 4250 for faring using 4 DSP channels.

Replace 7.1s with a Beyma

Keep Hertz SV in the lowers

2 more DSP channels on a

NVX 1000.4 bridged for 500w at 4 ohm powering

Two 10” GZCK one in each bag

Two DSP channels, the last two

To an amp for two horns in the bags and possibly two horns/tweeters in the fairing.

The 4/0 flash works but the 8/2 flash is flatter and same in run vs acc.
250 to each 10” is light in my opinion. It will work but I would shoot for 500 each.
Run your 10s in mono (summed), you only need 1 dsp channel.

Is that 8speaker 2 amp a Harley flash or an Indy only option?

The NVX would provide 500W x 2 channels at 4 ohms.

Good call on the mono option, I hadn’t thought about that.

my mistake, I saw nvx and was thinking of the micro.
The 8 speaker 2 amp is a boom flash but dealers won’t do it unless you have the boom junk. They can if they have the techno research software but most wont anyways. Find a shop that has the techno and have it done there, it’s easier.

Why would anyone spend $250 for a flash tool? Most people flash their bike once at a cost of $35-$50.
What is the stage 5 flash equal to in Harley terms? 4/0?

in the wind ,,, not sure at all about which Harley flash is equal to the J&M stage5 ,,,,,,

but I must tell you, that if you are NOT a cheapskate, the Techno-research Alaris self-flash unit will cost you $200 with Black Friday sales discounts and that is THE BEST money you will spend to help you tune-up your audio system (((see https://www.jmcorp.com/ProductDetail...ID=TRAF-HD1420 ,,,,,

BUT WHAT IT GIVES YOU is what is important ,,,,

NOW you can try ALL of the various Harley radio flash configurations, ,, NOT ONLY J&Ms Stage5 custom flash, but the recommended flashes from Fosgate, Soundz, Hog tunes etc ,,,, and try them as many times as you like, till you find the one that suits you!

I personally think the others are kind of RATTY sounding compare to the J&M stage5 ,, but what do I know ?

not sure about the stage 5 but I tried the flash you recommended in your videos. That was a 4/0 plus amps 1&2. It was ok but the 8/2 flash works better for my system.

Honestly, if I wanted a flash tool I would just buy it straight from Techno Research.
