not sure lol just saw some people saying that. So just to wrap my head around it, the amp has power and ground 8 gauge wire. Does it have a switched power wire ?

It will "switch" on via the blue remote wire coming from the HU. In other words, when the HU switches on, it'll switch the amp on too.

ah gotcha. The rca wires are the blue wires?

apologies for the million questions. I'm very good with electrical but just like to wrap my head around it all.

No sir. In the harness that is supplied with your HU, you'll find the power, ground, memory, speaker wires, and a blue wire with a white stripe that is labeled REMOTE. This wire will hook to the amp "REMOTE IN" and will turn the amp on. The 8 gauge wire to the amp supplies the power.

ok cool. Finally understand. You didnt run into the battery draining or anything ?
