Has anybody put this in their ultra? I'm told it's a huge wire assembly. Any pictures? It's either this or I run fresh speaker wires to the TP. Wife thinks she wants fade control.
I don't have pics as I've never used the harness. Most folks here are looking for a "plug n play" setup and this harness gets you there. If the bike is under warranty, it's a great approach.
If warranty is no longer in play, you do have the option of working around it. You can cut the rear output wires out of the loom and wire it yourself. That's something only you can decide is good for you. If done neatly and with forethought, it could be put back together at a later date.
I can say that warranty on that does not concern me. I have no objections to cutting the wires so I can run fresh wires from the amp straight back. Plug and play is nice, but not if it takes up more real estate than it should.
Good question. with out the break out harness, where do you get a rear channel signal for input into an amp. I guess you could run speaker wire all the way up from the pods to get input but, then you have to run speaker wire all the way back again.

I just happen to have my fairing off after putting 8s in the lids, i am using factory wire for TP speakers and works fine, but yea it is big, just do creative zip tying lol
