Default 2018 Harley Davidson Street glide

Good day everyone I have a 2018 Harley Davidson St. glide that I am in the process of upgrading the sound system.
I have a sound digital 800.4 S Evo 4 channel amp
2 PA601 CX 6.5‘s
2 PA801CX 8 inch and
2 DTX35T 100 W1 inch compression drivers.

firstly I understand that they have some sort of aftermarket cable that you can buy to plug into your factory touchscreen deck and run to the amplifier. is this correct and does anyone have a link?

Second question what is the best way to hook up the compression drivers they came with separate what look like crossovers?

third question on these 2018s I cannot seem to find unavailable remote switch wire anywhere to tap into. my heat demons are already using the one in the faring. obviously I don’t want my app on all the time so I need to have it going to a switch does anyone have any experience with this? Obviously the wiring harness going to the stock radio is a **** show of wires I have no idea what to do with

thank you all for your assistance.

You don’t want to use those horn tweeters with those coax.

The coax tweeters have enough highs. Adding the horns will be extreme overkill. You'll most likely be looking for a way to tone down the highs if you move forward in this direction.

Sure, but first can I ask who sold you this stuff? I mean how bad is this companies customer support? Seems like the forum is flooded with guys buying stuff with no customer support.

1st question: I assume you are talking about the BT355.
2nd question: Use the included caps with the horns. I don't know how you planned to power them but they really should be on their own channels.
3rd question: You can splice the cigarette lighter for remote turn on. I would use the $10 Harley harness and figure out something else for the heated gear myself but that's me.

Bill,

The compression tweeters will be overkill considering the 6.5 and 8's both are already coaxial and have tweeters with them. Try to return them or sell them.

A biketronics BT355 will be needed. It will plug into your head unit speaker plugs that go to pods where your fairing speakers are. That will output with RCA plugs that you can use to send a signal to the amp. You'll need 2 y splitters to plug into the amp.

Harley sells a fairing power adapters harness. It has 2 purple wires on it. Tap into one purple wire for remote power to the amp. That will trigger amp to turn on when bike is in ACC or IGN

Set your crossovers on amp to HP and start at around 100 hz. I don't think the number will be on the amp but ballpark it.

Set your gains from instructions on the sticky on the audio home page.

If you have any questions, feel free to PM or text me @ 618-410-7510

Just out of curiosity did they push this gear, or is it what you were looking for? It seems like they would know better than to recommend that lid setup. I assume the 8s and horns are for lids.

Andy will get you straightened out. I wouldn't go back to Voodoo if this was their idea.
