How bad is the install of the GZ 8s in the bag? I'd keep those and the SD250(for horns) and start over.
Im thinking this as well but I think the power to you gz is ok. Some of the other guys running them might have something else to say. I have faital 6rs140 fairing and Prv 6mb500 lowers and I think they work together very well. A lot of the guys like Beyma and for good reason I've just never used them. What's your budget?

I ask because I was wondering if you wanted to stay pro audio. The MMATS coax are great and budget friendly, but if you want to stay PA maybe a front stage like cmancuyas8's is more up your alley.
@$2000 I think there should be no reason that you should be dissatisfied after. If you like loud the prvs and their horns are very loud and inexpensive. I wouldn't get tweets instead, you can tone them down from your dsp. Beyma and faital are very good but little bit more expensive

Beyma 6p200nd, faital pro 6rs140, prv 6mr500 those would be my top 6.5s. DD horns are good... You wanting to keep a 6x9 in lids? A soundigital 800.4 would provide enough power for both sets of mids.

I have no problem ditching the 6X9's
So a set of mids with the horns in the fairing and just the 8's and horns in the bags with SD250 running horns and 800.4 running the mids? Would you keep the horns in the bags?

Well you can get a plate or if crafty make one yourself and put horns and 6.5s in each bag lid. But yes I'm my opinion mids and horns in fairing, mids and horns in lids, 8s in the bags and you'll be happy. I run 4 horns off a 250 and 4 mids off a 800.4 My sd800 is 4 ohm and I bridged in parallel each set of 8 ohm speakers
