Ok, I know so many topics on this, would like some advice from the pros, have the Stinger 700X4 amp, BT355 line level, along with MMats speakers, trying to understand how to set the gains, using this amp only as a 2 chan, fairing only speakers, looks like there is also adjustments on the BT355, how do i adjust theses as well? Thanks in advance, pics below..
I would leave the adjustments on the BT355 alone if it were me.
As far as setting gains, there is a sticky on the home page of the audio forum that details it pretty good.
Download a 1000 hz -5 db test tone
unplug speakers
plug in test tone on usb of head unit
Set volume 3-4 bars from top
Start bike
While playing test tone at volume referenced above, use a multimeter on the speaker leads to your speakers on AC voltage.
Find an ohms law calculator online and put in ohm load of speakers and desired power. That will give you an AC voltage.
Turn gain **** until voltage on multimeter matches target
turn volume down, Turn bike off, unplug usb, plug in speakers.
Set crossover on amp to High Pass at around 100 hz and enjoy
