Audio Upgrades
Right now it has a factory radio, not the correct one as the rear speakers don't work and now Intercom or CB. So the question becomes where do I start?
I only plan to have this machine for 1 maybe 2 more seasons so I don't need to go over the top.
- Looking for louder at highway speeds
- Clearer audio with some bass (I basically turn bass all the way down to hear at highway speed)
- Better reception locally for Radio
- Great Bluetooth audio (I currently use an MPOW Bluetooth to Aux adapter which I have mounted for left index finger ability to skip songs)
- Hand controls to work
- I am going to add lower fairing speakers and not use the rear speakers (Is there a better lower speaker for more full sound)?

Metra or scosche hand control interface and an amp wire harness will be needed also.

What is the preferred vendor for the Kappas and nvx vadm4 to support this site?
Thanks

i run a Sony marine HU. The one I have is the Sony MEX 70BT which is a few years old but has held up well. I used a Biketronics mounting bracket for the HU and the Biketronics handle bar control module which is a little pricey, but had worked flawless for the last 4 years. I also bought a friction fit rain cover that I only use in heavy rain or at the car wash.
One of the better 4 channel amp choices out there for a reasonable price has been the Stinger 700 SPX. It can be mounted right on the head unit with some Velcro. It's a great sounding amp with built in gain and x-over adjustments. There has been some recent deals floating around on this amp. Hopefully you can find a bargain.
You will need some speaker adapters in the fairing.
Speakers: lots of choices. I recommend the Mmats 601.cx. Great riders speaker. It will easily fit in the fairing with those adapters.
The can also be used in the rear speaker pods but you will also need adapters there as well. I used the Vtwin speaker adapters. They are a little pricey, but work good and look great.
This may be a little more Oney than you are looking to spend but it definitely makes for an enjoyable system you can easily hear out on the highway.
if you want to save a few bucks, just do your front speakers now and maybe add some budget speakers to the rear pods to add a little fill. There are a few 6.5" speakers that will fit in the rear pods without adapters, that won't be as good as a set of Mmats back there, but would be better than nothing.
