I have a 2012 ultra Classic with the stock Harman Kardon head unit and I am putting a Sound Digital 800.40 EVO amp in the bike. Can anybody tell me what wire goes to the remote connection on the amp?

Should be able to tap into the cig lighter 12v+ I'm not sure from the head unit. Any switched 12v power source should work though

OK thanks. I assume that it won't hurt anything having power to the amp even if I do not have the radio on?

You don't want that. Make sure that the cigarette lighter is a switched 12 volt supply as in no power if bike is off

Thanks, I got the switched idea, I should have been more clear. I was talking about if I am riding without the radio on, would it hurt the amp at all?

I think that should be fine. You just don't want the amp on all the time just drawing power in your garage
