Hi folks,
Just traded my 2015 limited for a Standard. I see that people are using the Sony 7000 head unit. Question is, with just the head unit is it good enough to hear/clear on the highway or do you need an amp to gain enough power?
While that radio does have a built in amp and would sound better than a stock Ultra on the Dealer floor. I would recommend and amp to push the speakers you choose.
I have the Sony 5000 head unit on my EG standard and I have no problem hearing it at highway speeds, but an amp is a good idea especially if you wear a full face helmet.
