Default Brandon's Setup

I just started my audio journey by buying a Sony XAV-AX7000, Stinger SPX700.4, and Mmats PA601.cx for my fairing only setup. Big thanks to those here in the audio section for pointing me in the right direction of the past couple weeks.

Unfortunately due to the state of the world right now, the Stinger and Mmats won't arrive until early May (hopefully). I came across some recommendations on the forum for wiring and I really like Knukonceptz. So I bought 12' of the 8ga Kollosus Flexz OFC, 6' of 12ga Karma SS OFC speaker wire, and a 60a inline fuse. For RCAs, I bought a set of 1' Seismic Audio cables.

Now, I need to figure out what I need for terminals. I'm assuming I'll be using ring terminals for battery connections, ferrules for the power/ground at the amp and fuse, female disconnects for the speaker connections, and butt connectors for the speaker wire to amp. What size are the spades on the Mmats? 0.110 and 0.250? Any go-to sources for this stuff? I can get generic stuff, but is there anything quality out there?

I installed the Fat Heads Sony setup that comes with Metra, already wired up, plug and play.

Good deal Brandon, only going to be about 62 late in the day tomorrow but planning a getting out for a short ride to see what my new system sounds like while riding. However we have some 80+ with sunshine mid-week, Ummm. I feel stomach ache coming on, must call into work, LOL, damn I am over the entire plant so that may no work. However after work some good rides in the plans. BTW I did my basic setup for the OH NO moment, kept it real simple. A piece of clear plexiglass and a roll of clear tape, decided I am not going all crazy on it but playing it a little safe.

Well, I just had to be reminded that the stock speakers are 2ohm and the sony is 4ohm. Guess I won't be listening to any tunes until the speaks get in next month. Damn!

I can't listen to the Sony right? That's my only option?

If you have the 7000 you can go to settings, sound and then switch it to 2 ohm for those speakers.

I've been running my setup now for coming up on 4 years and it's been great! Sony XAV-AX7000, Stinger SPX700.4, and Mmats PA601.4cx in the fairing.

I'm starting to contemplate adding speakers to my lowers... So, the age-old question is... what speakers do I add? Stick with Mmats? PA601? or a second set of PA601.cx?

Do people bridge the lowers? Why? What advantage? Would I then need 8 ohm instead of 4 ohm for the lower speaks?

Do I need spacers? If so, I won't be able to add speaks as I have a Heavy Breather AC and it's 0.5" from the current door on my lowers.
