Anyone running 8” Ground Zero Yellow Baskets that can send me a video? I’m thinking seriously about putting 4 of them in my saddlebags powered by a bridged SD1200.4 2 ohm to put 300 Watts to each of them. Before I make yet another change to the sound system I’d like some feedback from folks actually running them.
I’d be pairing them with 4 Hertz SV 165s in my upper and lower fairing and 2 MO75T tweeters, and maybe reusing my two Hertz ST25 tweeters too. The SVs and MO75Ts are loud and clear and I’m looking for the GZ YBs to balance out with some hard hitting bass as it turns out that I do like to show off in parking lots just a little.

Great damn speakers! How low u looking to go on the freqs though? With 4 8s u can do some serious lower end pounding.

That’s exactly what I’m after. I feel like the Hertz SVs and the MO75Ts are kicking out highs louder than I can take them, and so clear. And, I think they are going to be even stronger moving each set to the M2v2s with a little more power to each speaker. I want the 8”s to round out the sound and make it pound. Open to suggestions on crossover settings. Brian from 77 Customs suggested:
- Band Pass
- 12 dB/Oct
- High Pass 65 Hz
- Low Pass 300 Hz
Hey I’m interested in your setup I have a similar set up and I just ordered my Gz yellow basket 8” , talk to me , how much power are you going to push the yellow baskets with

I’m wrapping up my changes today and tomorrow, but I ended up with:
Sony 7000 HU
Dayton DSP 408 Sound Processor
SD1200.4 2 ohm pushing 300W to each of the four 8” GZ Yellow Baskets in my saddlebags
SD1200.4 2 ohm pushing 400W to each of two 8” GZ Red Baskets in my upper fairing
SD400.4 pushing 75W to each of two ST25 tweeters
