going to purchase a sony ax7000 and mmats601's, for my 19 electraglide standard which if your not familiar comes with no radio.
I have several quality amps that I could use but none of them are marine ( waterproof) so I assume I shouldnt use them? with or without an amp I'm assuming I should go with 4 ohm speakers? also has anyone hooked up the rear camera? was it useful? I used to drive a panel van with very small side view mirrors and Instead of wiring a rear camera to the reverse lights I hooked it up to a toggle switch so I could use it at anytime. really helped out blind spots when changing lanes. was thinking it might be nice for the bike as well. i ride with large groups often, thinking might be nice to glance down at screen to check riders behind me rather than turning head . cameras are so cheap these days. any thoughts?
You can mount a cell phone and use it as a rear camera monitor from what I understand. I dont use that functionality
once you turn the bike on, both cameras are recording to the DVR... the DVR casts a WiFi signal and you can stream both live and recorded video to your phone via an app
you can then choose to view front rear or split recordings or live stream
You will need a class D amp. Best bang for the buck right now is the Stinger SPX700X4 @ Amazon for 180. With the Mmats make sure you get rhe PA601.4CX marine treared.
