That's why I bought some heavy foil and did it myself for next to nothing. On the Sony 7000 the screen is splash proof so I'm not concerned with covering it. I've ridden through torrential downpour with my foil wrap and screen open to the environment this past weekend and everything is fine. Even sat in the rain one night.
Here's what I did:

I made sure to tape very similarly to BT as well, to protect any openings from moisture intrusion. I know my way is not as protected as BT's radio wrap, however, I'm completely comfortable with my radio's protection now and feel my method allows the radio to radiate heat rather than insulating the heat. I am also fully confident in the leaving the screen uncovered.

Supplies: uninsulated HVAC duct foil, duct/sealing/foil tape (any tape that will resist moisture and heat). This stuff is metal (heavy gauge aluminum foil), so it doesn't let moisture through, it fits snug, and it will [hopefully] help dissipate heat (which is why uninsulated foil is important).

Thanks all, I was interested for my Sony 7000 but $360 is just ridiculous. Just my opinion

Absolutely ludicrous. That’s why I did what I did. It accomplishes the same thing. Not much of any water gets inside there, and I’m very happy with my results after testing it’s capability in a downpour.

I have ordered one and I am looking forward to installing it. It’s the overall quality of the product as an adapter complete with a splash shield that makes it so you can use other radios that aren’t as resistant. One off not mass produced costs more.

Go look at the cost of XBS grills. Is there cheaper and other options out there? Yes. Could you make your own? Sure could. It’s all in what your budget allows for. Just my $0.02.

What kind or brand of foil did you use. Can you share a link?

just go to Home Depot or other building stores. They will have lots to choose from. This is a great cost effective way to achieve the same thing. You want it to be as thin as possible. Also pick up some foil tape to seal it together.
