Wiring Help
Question.... I’m adding lowers to my bike and need some wiring advice...
Or
Current Set-up;
Kenwood HU
1200.4 2ohm EVOX
400.4 4ohm EVO
250.2 Nano
DSR-1
SV165 Neo - fairing
VOB3 - fairing
SV200 Neo - bags
ST-25 - bags
adding SV165 Neo’s in lowers
TIA!!! 😎🍺
- Can I wire (4) SV165 neos in parallel and then bridge to channels 1/2 on an SD1200 EVOX? Channels 3/4 will be bridged to a set of SV200’s in my bags.
Or
- Keep my current config with the fairing neos bridged to 1/2 and add a separate amp (SD400) to drive the new neos going into my lowers?

KTM you've got way more going on there than I have on my bike but I learned through experience that I don't like my lowers paralleled with anything else. The lowers must be fed more power than the fairing speakers in order for you to be able to hear them properly or get them to "blend" with the fairing speakers.
I gave my lowers their own stereo amp channel so that I could adjust them on the fly with an RCA level control that I wedged underneath the ignition switch cover. That level control actually is inline with the patch cord going to the amp channels that the fairing speakers are on. That way if I feel that I don't hear the lowers well enough I can turn the fairing speakers down a tad to blend them. Now that I have a DSP I don't use that control much any more once things are set but it still comes in handy while tuning.
