For undisclosed reasons I was away from the world for a very long time. The knowledge I have from 2 decades ago is virtually useless, almost. However, Ive been in rotation now for a few years so Im beginning to take steps towards the road, but the sounds I have now are cringe worthy so being on the road isnt as pleasant as I know it can be. Ill say it now, Im one of those CVO guys. Ive read some of u have some predetermined thoughts on CVO owners..lol..Well, I honestly dont much care bout that. I bought mine used. 17 Streetglide CVO. When someone gives u the right deal, if were lucky enough we have what they want right when they want it. I was lucky enough..lol..anyways, audio. I keep reading here on this subject about some of u who have done the leg work in piecing together some nice sounds at fair pricing. What I want is to hear everything clear. Sure I want bass to hold at 70 mph but thats not gonna happen so I wanna get as close as I can with only using current placement for all gear. I read up on Soundz , was bout to pull the trigger till I seen everyones opinion that I could get a little help and piece together somethin jus as good a bit cheaper. So here I am. I was bout to drop 4K there, so my budget can be what it needs to be but I atleast should try to use my head a bit here and see what happens. Read and read on the forum, join the forum, post for some help in the forum, let the forum school me a bit...thats my hopes......so again, my question...Some help on piecing together a nice system that blows these kits out of my lane...much appreciated..🤙

Do you live anywhere near an audio shop, or are you planning to do this yourself?
Sorry for the delay my guy, spending most my time messin with this bikes. But yea, access to audio shops isnt a problem. Id be blind walkin in tho, selling me on some BS may be a possibility. Due diligence is free though I suppose..lol...and yes Ill work the install myself unless it gets overly complicated, at which point Ill pull my cousin in to button things up.
Grew up in Indy, but once I went away I made the conscious decision to leave Indy in my rear view, at least as my home anyways. Now Im out towards Rockville.
First of all you have a 2017 cvo street glide so you have fairing, lowers and lids for speaker locations. I would start with the fairing/ lowers first. Depending on whether you want to retain fm or not, a stinger spx 700x4 amp will provide a big difference paired with some mmats PA601CX speakers or hertz cpx will do well in the fairing if you are wanting coax. The lowers are going to be a bit of a problem as the bike has wet heads and the lower speakers need to be shallow. You will need an adaptor for the lowers. You will need to have the hu flashed so you wont have to mess with the stock he eq curve that blows with aftermarket.
For the rear lids, I suggest AHB adapter and run 6x9s back there off a separate amp. An nvx vadm4 bridged will provide enough power for the lids and can set in the clutch side cubby hole under the fairing. Bang for the buck speakers are mmats pa 690s but as speakers evolve some new one are out there that sound damn good. GZ 7x10s , diamond 6x9 coaxsubs get low, hertz mpx 690s have damn good sq along with some others.
