Default DSR 1 Placement

Wondering where everyone is mounting their DSR1. Right now, I have mine NEXT to the amp, above the radio. Streetglides. I'm wanting less radio interference. Can you explain or show pics ?

Mine is the same way, but I never listen to the radio so haven't noticed that problem. If you have BT brackets there are a few options. You could always use the clutch side cubby.

Hi - i've been reading a lot here about amps and upgrades. I saw several people mention how some amplifiers cause FM reception loss. Is that also true for a Digital Sound Processors like the DSR1?

In the instructions with the DSR1, it does state that it could present interference with the FM.
Mine does.

It doesn't interfere with XM, I never listen to FM. It's either XM or streaming via my phone..

I Velcro’d mine to the inside of the fairing up in the nose part. There was lots of cable with the Rockford Fosgate install.

But, once you get it in there, are you able to remove it again without removing the pod ?

I can't answer that as I have been running the BT speaker brackets for some time - but the simple answer is if the HD speaker pod covers the front of the CB cubby hole, then yes - otherwise you can just slid it in and out if needed, I use a little velco to hole it in place
