Does anyone have any ideas why the intercom option does not show up on my 2017 Harley tri glide, it comes factory ready for the headset. I do not have it listed under COMM, so I cannot turn it on. The rest of the things work with my new headsets, music, phone etc. If anyone can help me I would really appreciate it. If you have any ideas please e-mail me an answer I will greatly appreciate it. E-mail: marine4@rcn.com I'm new at this and I don't want to miss any help.
Thanks
Bob
I just checked my ‘17 Ultra Limited, which should be the same.
With the ignition “ON”, press “HOME” button, then press the “COMM” soft button on screen...and “INTERCOM” as well as “PHONE” and if you have it installed “CB”, should be displayed.
The intercom feature is fully contained within the Infotainment system. So, I’d consider:
- loading the latest Infotainment s/w.
- go to your dealer, and have them hook up their Digital assistant and determine if it has been disabled for some reason.
- otherwise, something is screwed up with you infotainment system. Consider sending it to Iron Cross for repair, or going to Sena headsets, and use their wireless intercom.
- or...see if someone on this forum has a functional takeout that they’ll sell you.
I’ve used Iron Criss before. They specialize in repairing the Harley radios, and do good and reasonably priced service.
