which is the best radio as far as sound and plug in play not have to rewire the whole thing ? Thanks 2012 street glide

Not sure on how much you want to spend but we put the Rockford radio in my wife’s 2012 sg last summer. Not sure how it sounds with stock speakers cause it already had an amp and 6.5” speakers installed. But it was a direct plug and play, real simple thing to do. The radio is pricey but we wanted a weather proof set up.

None of the radios you have to “rewire the whole thing”. You can spend a lot of money on plug n play radio or buy a $20 wire harness to plug into. Or you can buy a Sony from Fathead Cycles that includes everything you need for $300

I'm a fan of the Rockford Fosgate PMX-HD9813 unit, but a number of members on this forum aren't. Since I do a fair amount of touring in all types of weather, a unit weatherproof was an important consideration for me. Yes, the unit is expensive.
