Then you should be fine. A lot of guys do not realize when they change out the HU and keep the stock speakers that in most cases they're not compatible. Reason being is the stock speakers are 2ohm and most aftermarket HU's are only compatible with 4ohm speakers if not using an amp.

The aquatic is 2 ohm stable, and will give a good improvement in volume over stock hu
For the guy who wants a basic improvement, it will do fine.
I ran one for a year or so with zero issues.
