DSP controls the freq range and such of the speakers. Whether you should run a DSP is has more to do with what speakers you are running.

My speakers in the fairing are DD AW6.5 with the AT28"S JL XD 400/4 AMP
Lowers have the Mmats 601cx with a GROUND ZERO MICRO 4 AMP
I was looking into getting rid of the line levelers, having it re flashed, that was why i was asking if i will need the dsp. Was looking into the DRS1 from Fosgate.

I think in your case, running horns, yes you would benefit from running a dsp. Sometimes horns can be too harsh with the screeching highs.

I would suggest you check out the Dayton 408 dsp though. I hear its much more user friendly. If you've never used a dsp to tune a bike, the learning curve is IMO a little daunting though.

Shoot any system can sound better with a DSP Scooby.

When I first got my DSP all I did was play with the EQ sliders on each channel to get a sound I liked. That alone made a HUGE improvement in sound quality. As time went on and I put some miles on it I learned more about the functions of the unit and was able to make it sound even better to my ears.

Also from what the smart folks here have said when you flash the Harley head unit with something like the Rockford flash you have a cleaner signal to work with no matter what you choose to do. That will translate into less distortion going into your amp.
