I just installed gz yellow 6.5s in my 2019. There is mild trimming to bring down the ribs but nothing crazy. Ok used a dremel tool. Took like 5 minutes extra max
I added these photos in a previous post. It's very easy to make the minor modifications to your pods. The pods are 2 half attached by a number of fasteners. Open the pods so you have easy access to the ribs inside. Use a Dremel or even take your time with a blade. Here are the photo's again.
Ok so no ETA on the GZ coax speakers. Whats a real viable option? It can be more expensive.
Give Chris a call at Garage Bagger Stereo. I ordered all my parts for my audio build from him. He's awesome to deal with. He had stock. This is if you can cancel your order from wherever you ordered and can do so.
You're worried about buying a 20k bike and shaving a little tiny bit out of two nonessential pieces that nobody will ever see so the right set of speakers will fit but you have no problem popping the tank off, running power and ground to the battery and into the fairing?
You realize that if it's that big of a deal, you can buy new speaker pods for about 70 bucks each, right? The best option if you don't want to make any alterations to the bike is to just keep the stock stereo and speakers.

chris is who I bought them from! Lol. Thanks for the referral though!
So I saw your Trade post in the for sale side. lol
You're really going to trade GZ's and an SD 800 for RF? Man thats a big mistake, but hey its your money. When you find out you still cant hear your audio over 50, or you start blowing RF speakers, you'll probably be back. lol

Well to be honest Im just throwing it out there. I didnt get the GZ bc they are on back order with my guy and Ive ordered some Mmats in place. We will see how things go. Im really a fan of plug and play and dont want people hacking the bike apart. But if I get no offers or bites, Ill go with what Ive got! Just putting my feelers out there. Im sure Id be disappointed with the RF stuff lol. I just like to keep it more stock if that makes sense? And if that really was the case I guess I should just keep my factory radio lol.

Plug and play is just a marketing tool. You still have to run power and ground wires and run the "bundled" wires for speaker inputs and amp outputs and such. I kinda get not hacking stuff up, but inside pods are never seen. The mmats will drop in easier, but still may need to cut a rib or two out to get that capacitor to fit.

I get that. I appreciate your input and info! Im picking up that I wont appreciate the Rockford system one bit!! Lol. So Ill stick with what Ive got coming to me. Again thank you to everyone for beating the dead horse with me, we all know Ive asked a lot of repetitive questions. Everybody is so helpful in this forum and the community of members goes to show that.
