Default Need some ideas and help.

I have a 2004 Ultra Classic. Wanting to put speakers in the lids of hard saddle bags. I am going to attach a pic of the top of the lids. It is a custom paint job. Don’t know to cut the lids. And if so what will it look like. Thought of getting the speaker covers painted to match what was cut out. Let’s here yalls thought. Pic is attached.

Fosgate probably has the only CUT lids kit you want to use on that one, since you have custom paint ,,,,,,

just be ready for some water leakage into the bags from time to time ,,,,,

I used the RF lid kit for my 17 RGS. I liked the kit and template itself, but soon replaced the speakers with something much better. Many aftermarket speakers will fit in the RF kit with a little mods.....a few might fit with no mods.

Some ppl don't like the look of the RF lid kit as the grill and edges are slightly raised more than the painted surface. Its not much...maybe 1/8' at most.

Now, not sure if their kits fit pre rushmore bikes. You might have to check into that. There may be other companies that makes similar kits for you model I know Boss just came out with a speaker lid kit and its cheaper than the RF kit. Another option would be to buy lids made for speakers. Advan black and other companies sell them. You'd have to have the painted of course.

Yea I looked at RF. Kit looks good and easy. Think should paint the screens or leave them the color they come. Just don’t want things to look weird. Looking for input.

by the looks of your paint, not sure you could pain the grill and get the lines to match up?
