Hey guys... I have a 05' Softtail dressed up like a Street Glide. Hard bags, fairing, ect.. Anyway, I'm trying to get my sound system to not sound like trash going down the road. I did recently replace my charging system with larger than stock, so I have the power there.
Currently I have 4 speakers, 2 in fairing, and 2 in lids of saddle bags. They are Polk DB652 speakers. Here is the link:
Can't expect much out of a $60 amp, and no doubt that's your weakest link. That would be my first start, perhaps looking at a SD 800.4 for some real power for starters. I don't have any experience with the Polks, but those have been eclipsed by the GZ's, Mmats and a few others a number of years ago. Can't recall anyone raving about Polks on their sled for quite a while. However, with some decent power they might sound OK. Try replacing the amp first, and see what you think. You can always upgrade the speakers down the road. Welcome to the addiction. I'm just starting my 4th build.
a Pyle amp? I'll be nicer than some that may post, what were you expecting man? lol
Haha fair enough man... was doing quite a few rather expensive changes as well. The amp was cheap, compact, and cheap. Some good reviews, oh, and did I mention cheap? Lol. But now that I've done just about everything else I want, this is the time to get them tunes playing right. I do appreciate you holding back a bit 😂
