Default Ground issue

Ok so I installed sound digital evo x 800.4 and a dsr1. I have been trying to trouble shoot this most of the day installed everything ran amp wires to amp that were installed for previous amp wires in dsp first ran all dsp wires to head unit wires powered on everything and worked fine wen to turn off and amp radio and dsp stayed on. Finally re did wiring ran dsp and head unit ground straight to battery ground and still having issue. If I unplug dsp all shut off same with the main wiring harness to bike trinkets module. What am I missing here.

I didn't like anything in the fairing for an amp ground. If I am running it back to the chassis and I am running a power wire to the battery why not just run the ground too. You want it somewhere that is as protected from the elements as possible.
