I have just about everything installed and the PN4 1000D power and ground hooked up. I have a Sony MEX100 HU and a biketronics module/ install kit. I'm going to run the RCA cables, front and rear from the HU to the Amp. All 4 sets of speaker wires to the amp. As far as the Biketronics module for the handlebar controls, All that needs to be hooked up in order for it to work is the 3.5MM jack hooked up to the radio 3.5MM jack and of course, plugged into the bike harness?
Also, does anyone know how to remove the wires from the module, once the wires were pushed in?
For the module, you should have red, black and yellow plugged into it. If you need to remove them press in the white button/tab above the wire. They are spring loaded, pushing it will release the spring and allow you to pull the wire out. Same for putting it back in.
Also, don't forget you need a remote wire from the amp so that it turns on. You can connect a remote wire to the remote from the radio, or at the end of you headlight harness there is an orange and white wire that serves as a remote.
Stupid question, but I'm in a similar boat. I've got a 14, wiring in the same amp. The current amp, PBR300x2, doesn't need the remote wire hooked up to turn it on. Will the soundstream? The current wiring goes from deck to HD harness. I've tapped into the speaker wires in and out of amp. If I go RCA cables as OP did, will I need the remote wire?
