Hey all I just come across these threads. I have a 12 steer glide with factory hu & speakers. I wanna upgrade the speakers in fairing & get a hu that works with my hand controls. The budget has been set at $500. Maybe just speakers & amp now. New head unit later on. Plus how can I find some great used stuff on here??? Ppl think bc I own a Harley that I have lots of money. When it's the opposite. I have very little of it. Not sure even on how to use this site. My 2012 SG
There a few decks that come working with hand controls. Like Aquatics. There are also add on modules that connect to the head unit and give you back the hand controls. You have to figure out if you want a CD player or not. Research how to put a amp in the faring have to run lines under the seat and so on. it is a fun road you are taking but it's a long trip! good luck.
