Default Gain readings change

Ok so every time I pull the fairing off and wanna tweak something....tune specifically, I usually start with checking my gains again. Every single time my gains are different...by a lot!

Trying to understand this issue.

Here is my set up and the steps I take to set/check gains.

I have RS140s upper fairing bridged to a 1200.4 evox

6FE200s in lower fairings also 8ohm bridged to the other two channels on the 1200.4

Diamond M075t horns powered with SD 250.

Arc PSM

I unplug my speaker wires from the 1200, and pull the rcas from the 250 since the speaker wires are on the side and hard to get to without taking the pod off.

Multimeter is set too 200v meter setting and AC

Just an image of my MM to show where I have it set.

1khz 0db tone playing from usb thumb drive with volume set to 3 notches from top.

I reset gains to I think 46v or so last week for both pairs of 6.5's. When i plugged in the MM probes today they ready like 80v or so. Not the first time this has happened.

What could be causing this discrepancy in readings? If you set gains, and nothing else changes, they should always remain at the same volts, right??

Bike always running? Have you checked your battery voltage to make sure it is consistent?

Weird, checked initially when I got that 80v readin with bike on but not running. Cranked the bike up and couldn't even get a reading. Gotta be something stupid I'm doing or not doing.

Also just checked and made sure everything was flat again and auto volume control is off.

I've had some issues with this new battery, but they charged it enough to prevent a warranty replacement. I try to keep it on the trickle charger, especially when doing any work on the bike. Its not hooked up at the moment though. Bike running before it was reading little over 14 volts.

That is weird. I've never noticed my old ARC or SD Amp gains changing?

That amp shouldn't be capable of 80 volts on 2 channels bridged unless you have a high input voltage and gains are maxed. Check your input voltage to see what it is.
