Default Intercom work around question

Hi. I have a 2011 Ultra Limited . I’m trying to install rear saddle bag lid speakers. I converted the tour pack to quick disconnect and run it without it 90% of the time. Ideally, I’d like to keep the tour pack speakers functional too, when I do. My problem is, the intercom is messing everything up. I traced the rear speaker wires back from the amp to the connector under the tour pack. When this is plugged in, I get a signal to the rear speakers. When I unplug it, it shuts down the signal from the amp. It appears the intercom runs through the head unit before it even gets to the amp. Is there a way to disconnect this? Can I jump something? I’m running the Rockford Fosgate Harley head unit, designed for Harley touring. The intercom doesn’t even work with this radio. Which is fine with me. I won’t use it anyway.

I took it off my 13 pods and wrapped it up under the seat with zip ties
