I purchased this splitter to provide power to turn on the 2 Soundigital 400.4 amplifiers I am installing.
My question is when I splice in to get power do I use the purple and black wires? Just the purple?
I am waiting on Lids for 6x9's. However I am not getting power to amplifiers. Power light not coming on. Either amp. Going to retrace the wiring today. Any suggestions? Where do DIY'ers typically make mistakes when setting up an upgraded system?
So you cut one of the plugs off the new extension and ran remote turn on wire from purple wire to amps correct?
The head unit was flashed at Eastern Performance Motorcycles. They did the Rockford flash.
Yes I cut the purple wire off of one of the connectors on the $8 plug. Not crazy about cutting the original factory plug.

I have a multi meter but I am not sure where to start testing connections and where to get a ground while measuring volts. Meter has probes only. I only installed a J&M amplifier once before and that went smoothly. Now I have 2 distribution blocks and 2 amplifiers and no power...ugh....

Double check your power and ground connections to battery and fuse on power wire. Sure sounds like you have the remote wire correct. Test your power wire

Have a errand to run then I will head over to garage. Thanks 🙏
