As Mike and TD posted . You can jump the whim plug and use carplay,....This is how i use it on my SG, just cant reply since, I dont have a mic

My 21 SGS does also with the jumper......if you have the WHIM you should already have carplay and should be good to go........carplay only works on UBS

Interesting. My 2020 RGS doesn't read it. Been a while, so don't remember what happens, just know it doesn't read my texts. I think the mic icon has an X over it. Android Auto.

My 21 works thru car play with Siri also as DSM. When I receive one, I can hit the message Icon and Siri will read it thru the speakers, then display the icon to reply .....of coarse I cant since I dont have a mic attached. I also think you might need to let Siri have access when the phone is locked .
