What's everyone's opinions on Cables? Do I really need to spend $40+ for a set of RCA to take me from DSP to Amp, or are the Amazon Versions just fine?
I wouldn't skimp on RCAs. It's all about a clean signal and those little details like RCA quality is damn important. U don't need to go extreme but definitely don't go w the cheapest option. Stinger is a fairly trusted option and also readily available.
What you are concerned with is the quality of the connectors and the shielding so that you don't pick up interference and the connectors do corrode or wiggle loose. Disassembly of the fairing sucks
A lot of us have pulled bad cheap RCA cables from places we really didn't want to go back into. I got so aggravated with some of those little buggers I just ordered a pack of good plugs that were super tight and started making my own patch cables.
I think a lot of us get to a point in our lives where time and aggravation can actually take on a monetary value so to speak. Buy good cables and make sure they are secure. Even a great cable can go bad if it is allowed to flop around while riding.
