I have a 2019 CVO Limited and I want better sound “quality”. It is very distorted when the volume is up. I a
have read and I am still reading looking for guidance. Any help is appreciated.
I have not given much thought to a budget. I’d like to keep under $1k if possible. I don’t want to go to new amps and such if I can achieve a better sound without it.
For that budget, it would be hard to beat 2 pairs of mmats 601cx and a stinger spx 700 amp or even the SD 800.4 evox amp.
mmats speakers $400
Amp 300 to 400 depending on which one you get
amp wiring kit 35 bucks
RCAs and speaker wires as well.
I think you might need a spacer for the rear pods
Then youd need to heat or cut a relief hole in the front pods for the speakers to fit. Not hard at all.
I ran this same stinger amp and mmats combo on my 17. Well I had the mmats 6x9's in my lids. Sounded very good and VERY loud. No problem hearing it at any speed. And it was clear too.
no sense starting a journey without a destination in mind
if you want to replace speakers only, I think Rockford Fosgate sells some plug and play replacements, they'll be better than the boom crap from what I hear
