Hello all,
I have a 2017 totally stock Road Glide. The other day I plugged in my IPhone 11 via the USB port (as I always did), the Boom system recognized the my music library, showed me the song playing on the display, but there was no sound. I checked and rechecked both the connection and to see if the system was on speaker or headphones. it was on speaker. I unplugged the phone and my radio played through the speakers... I then tried using the GPS function, and again, it brought up the location on the map, but no sound out of the speaker. I went to my local dealer and they did an update.... However, when i left I still couldnt play my music from the phone or get sound using the GPS. As I said, the radio works perfectly but no other sound from the speakers.... Any ideas before I have to go back to the dealer and lose the bike for ???? days? I appreciate any firsthand knowledge....
Each input device on the Boom radio is a separate volume adjustment. If Nav is reciting a direction, that volume control is separate from radio volume. As Cycle 7447 stated, run through the setup screens and make sure prompts are on. Also run through each input device and make sure the volume controls aren't down low or muted. Lastly, make sure your phone media volume is not too low or muted.
