For that 1800 - 2200 bucks, you can do WAY better.
im not sure i only spent about half of that an got exactley what i was lookin for so i didnt look no further . But i have gone the aftermarket route you speak of in the past an thats not what i was lookin for .
Well, I found a deal at a local dealer. Got 20% off of the stage 2 RF by HD. Swapped out the fairing speakers and tour pack speakers. Did the install myself. It wasnt terrible, just time consuming and the fairing speakers suck to get the pods in and out. Ratcheting wrench does wonders FYI.
I will say, its not as loud as I was expecting, but its crystal clear even at high volumes. I can actually hear my music on the freeway without having it maxed out. The Harley app makes tuning it a breeze.
Could I have done better going aftermarket. Probably. Am I happy with the fully integrated, no trip to the dealer, install and sound? Absolutely.
Probably not exactly what you’re looking for, but, it fits real easy in the fairing. Sorry about the mess, but, I was installing a new head unit. There’s a mounting bracket above the radio. I used industrial strength Velcro to hold the amp down. I promise, it looks a lot better now
I also failed to mention, that if you havent already purchased the Harley branded RF amp, Dont! This tm series is a much better amp. The tm400x4ad is a 4 channel amp (this particular amp)

why would you recommend steering clear of the HD branded RF amp? It integrates directly in without any splicing or dealer service calls?

So does the tm400x4ad. The Harley (Rockford) amp, is way underpowered compared to the tm amp. 50w x4 rms @ 4ohms vs. over 100w x 4 @ 4 ohms, with the tm series.
so is the tm series. And actually, RF under-rates their amps. I get 112w x4 rms @4 ohms, and about 135w x 4 rms @ 2 ohms

I got mine, for $375, on Fleabay, over 5 years ago. Still plays loud and clear. I see a lot of people going through multiple amps. I’m still happy with mine. Maybe not the loudest, but, longevity has it’s merits
