I currently have the FatHead cycles Sony 7000 in my Trike. From the videos I've watched of the HDHU.14+, the hand controls on the Sony and HDHU are the same. They're not exactly like factory because neither has CB or intercom functions. The controls are easy to learn and use though.

having recently switched from the 7000 to the HDHU.14+ they aren't the same, it's more like the OEM controls with creeping volume adjustment etc (but yes neither CB or intercom, or Sony blackout mode)
