Current Question
I have some questions about my current (no pun intended
) system and whether or not I'm overdoing it. A couple of years ago (think maybe 3) I had a stator and regulator replaced in Sturgis at Rapid City. They were the original equipment that came with the bike (a 2015 Ultra). Since I bought the bike I've had a full Boom II system installed, and then went aftermarket. Two years after that rally, I ended up picking up and installing the "high-output" charging system (54amp stator and regulator). Earlier this year I picked up a Braille G30H battery. I'm going to list my equipment below and see if you guys think I've got too much draw running through things. Reason I ask is that it appears (not sure yet) that my current voltage regulator has failed. I had an incident last week where the volt gauge went down to minus 8, bike running rough, by the time I limped to parking lot the battery was dead, Now the voltage doesn't go above 13.5 even at 3000 rpm.All speakers are in 4ohm config.
Front
Sony AX-7000
Rockford Fosgate - DSR1
Euphoria EX4 Amplifier, powering two GZCF 6.5 SPL (Fairing), and two PRV 6MR500CF-NDY-4 (Lowers) - each getting 200W.
Rear
DD Audio DSI-2 (fed from rear output of Sony)
SKAR Audio SKv2-200.4D, powering 2x PRV8MR500CF-NDY-4 (Bridged - 300 Watts each - Bag Lids) and 2xPolk Audio mm652 (TourPack).
JLAudio - HD600/4 powering two Polk Audio TW450Ti-Nd-4 (other two channels unused).
Clearly I'm exceeding the capacity of the charging system (even the "high output" charging system which is why I picked up the Braille, which means the rest of it has to come from somewhere (the battery), but if I've got the tunes cranked on a 6.5 hour ride to Casper on the way to Sturgis, am I going to wind up with a dead battery and/or blown regulator/stator when I get there? I realize that nothing is set in stone but just looking for a ballpark feeling - need another battery? Can't go any higher on the stator/regulator.
