So maybe this has been answered before but here it goes.
I have cicada speakers on my fairing and want to add more. I like the idea of a lower fairing with 6.5 speakers there or possible doing 6x9 on the rear lids.
I’ve been told from a few no point on lid speakers because I’ll barely hear them.
I ride a 2020 road glide and most of my riding is highway speeds.
You'll def get more sound from front speakers, but you can still hear rear speakers at speed. Depending on speaker and setup.of course. But you will lose most of your lower freq at higher speeds.
8” in the rear was an option with the amp also in the bag.
as of now I’m running cicada with horns in the upper and I have hertz with tweets ready to go in the lowers. I’m thinking another set if 8” cicada with horns for the rear.
i've run my system with my rears unintentionally unplugged....wasn't really paying a lot of attention and not putting it on too high, as soon as I got on the highway, I turned it up and heard the difference right away
