Help with Bridging
I'm trying to help a friend setup his NVX MVPA4 & Cerwin Vega PH654 system, and I'm a little (lot) confused by how to bridge his amp like I did with my Sound Digital & Beyma setup.
What I'd like to have him do is bridge the mids and run them in parallel, but keep the horns on their own channels. But, looking at the manual for the amp, I'm struggling with how you'd do that and still be able to use the HPF and LPF on the amp.
I have a DSR-1 on mine, but he has a Sony head unit, so the DSP probably isn't as critical for his arrangement... I hope.
Can anyone point me in the right direction here?
(Also, I'm super interested in seeing how his $450 setup compares to my $1,500 setup. I'm hoping that this might be a new option to add to the list.)
Thanks much!
On my setup, I have channels 3 & 4 bridged, running the mids in parallel. Channels 1 & 2 are driving the horns separately. So, it's really two regular channels and one bridged channel. If that makes it any more clear.
Wondering if there's a way to do the same thing on his setup. But, it sounds like his amp is probably not setup for that.

So, in his case, can he still split the woofers and horns?
The CV's came with an external crossover. Would it make sense to run it as a 4 channel, or would it be better to run a bridged 2 channel?
Thanks again for your insight.

- 4 ohms: 100 watts x 4 chan.
- 2 ohms: 150 watts x 4 chan.
- Bridged, 4 ohms: 300 watts x 2 chan.
