I’m just wondering what you guys think about lid speakers. Are they worth cutting the lids and the money invested? I’ve got a few friends who say they can’t hear their 6x9’s at all at highway speeds and probably wouldn’t do it again. I know it’s physics, you will loose a lot when in motion… but of the ones who have lid speakers, would you do it again if you started over?
Heck ya I would do it again.
Love the surround sound it gives me.
I went with the Harley lids and Boom Audio speakers and can hear them just fine at highway speed.
I'm running an Aquatic AV head unit and Boom Audio speakers in the fairing as well.
Like the way lid speakers look too.
Oh, and I've never had a leak in over 8 years.

I did the lids and Mmats 6x9's and I like them. If I turned the front stage off at 70 I could hear the 6x9's but the 6.5GZ's up front are loud. My son will ride next to me and listen to the music on long rides. I look over and see him singing.
I ask this question because I’m thinking about putting a set of euphoria xpert carbon fiber 6.5’s up front in the fairing. Would they be enough or do I pick an amp big enough to add 6x9’s later?
