The CX speaker is a very good speaker when powered correctly. They are a drop in fit for the fairing speaker pods and tourpack pods on 14 and up bikes.
I would suggest adding an amp to them and NOT just power them with the headunit.
Results from just headunit power will be disappointing

Agreed on not running the Cicada's without an amp. I just installed the Cicada 125DSP with the CH65.2 in the front fairing and the CX65.2 in the rear speaker pods. (The CH65's will not fit in the rear pods as they are MUCH deeper than the CX's - at least on the wife's 2015 TriGlide). Amazing difference in sound. Also, get the Cicada HD wiring harness. It will make your installation much simpler - unless you're an audio expert.

I did the exact same without the bag speakers and bridged the amp, but will probably add the bag speakers at a later date.
One of our local installers works with Larry directly and helps design several parts in his lineup, in their opinion it's better to go with the horns vs the CX series for the money. You may need to slightly modify the pods with the CHs, I had to in my Street Glide but it was easy and NVS Audio's videos showed just how to do it.
