The only way I could clearly hear stereos on the Electra glide or the Road glide was to put good ear plugs in. I used the custom molded models that are fitted to the rider.
Using them eliminated the wind noise and let the music come through clearly. Good luck.
Then you haven't ridden a bike with a quality setup.
As Cshocker said. My son rides beside me on the interstate and I will look over and he is sing to my music. Another amp to consider is the Stinger SPX700x4 it will not mess with FM.

OK I'm getting close. How about a wiring harness? I hate cutting into the factory harness if I don't need to.

As for harnesses the better one I have found is the TSLINK from Cicada audio. It comes with the load resistors to keep from causing speaker disconnected codes on the 19 and up bikes and also allows you to use the stock rear speaker wiring. The TSLINK will also keep your fader working properly.
If not being able to use the fader doesnt bother you you can use the Axxcess LOC and RCA Y from the front speaker connectors to amp. This LOC comes with the OEM HD plugs for the front pods. Then you will need to run new speaker wire from the amp to rear speakers to keep from cutting the OEM harness

I found the TSLINK yesterday while scrolling around. Looks to save me from getting heartburn while cutting into the factory harness. Worth the price IMO.
So when I swap out the speakers for all 4 ohm, it would throw a code? I did not know this either. Anything else I don't know? Guess I'm gonna hunt YouTube.

Using the TSLINK will not cause any codes to appear in the BCM because there are resistors wired in telling the system there is a load.
As for adding an amp and switching to4 ohm speaker it will not cause a code using the TSLINK.
If you were to use only a LOC it may throw a code. The NEW GTS headunits can be finicky.
