Has anyone swapped their inner fairing with the Metra double din on a CVO Electra? I've watched multiple videos where is has been done on non CVO Harley's. Most of the wiring adapters I have seen don't take into account the xm and GPS boxes with their extra wiring on top of the stock radio. If you unplug those and use the standard radio adapter to go into the double din, I assume it either won't work or will throw some type of error codes?
I dont think it will send a trouble code but you will loose xm, cab. I had a time getting my metra fairing to fit like The OEM fairing and to keep the wind deflectors had to drill new holes in the fairing Im glad I got the unpainted one. I painted mine. Im still glad I did the swap.
