fairing radio mods

Has anyone modify the single din radio hole to fit a 3 inch round marine media head.
never cut into fiberglass dont want to flub it up

Probably not.......but the stock fairings are ABS plastic and not fiberglass.

I suspect because those round Rockford marine head units have similar specs as the single DIN unit Rockford makes for Harleys at about a third of the price. I had thought along the same lines at one point but didn't think it would be practical. If I really wanted to chuck the stock head unit I'd probably just pony up for the PMX-HD9813.

The one advantage I could think of in using something other than the PMX-HD9813 would be the ability to use the Biketronics BT1005X control module to retain AVC.
