I have a Sony 7000 headunit on my 2014 SGS. I have a terrible time getting CarPlay to work. It can take anywhere from 3 to 5 times of disconnecting my phone and reconnecting again to get it to work. And sometimes when I am riding the bike, it will just disconnect and not come back. I have tried new cables and no luck.

Question is, for the guys who have the SoundStream head unit. How reliable is CarPlay with those head units?

 

I never have issues wired or wireless unless in a high interference area with wireless, which isn't the fault of the Soundstream, mine is always rock solid...
